After a calendar month away from Singapore inwards the UK, Kingdom of Spain too French Republic (more shortly on all of that) I'm dorsum too managed to larn Red Dot Roaming ane time again final week. This fourth dimension I decided to accept a hold off at the Jendela Visual Arts infinite inwards the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay too unopen to the Esplanade MRT station.
If y'all aren't familiar amongst the Jendela Visual Arts Space it is housed on the minute flooring of the Esplanade too is incredibly slow to find, merely follow the signs. I'd never heard of it though until I started looking at what was around the Esplanade area. It is the entirely dedicated exhibition infinite at the Esplanade too holds regular shows oft integrated amongst other events at the centre.

On my view I chanced upon an exhibit past times local artist, Jeremy Hiah called 'Tales from Jalan Buang Hoe'. The exhibit is the artist's depiction of some of the local sometime myths too legends from a fourth dimension long earlier Singapore became the thriving modern metropolis it straight off is. The legends he has chosen include the story of how Pulau Ubin came to be, a story I had heard before, the legend of a white crocodile that lives inwards the Kallang river (a novel ane for me) too a handful more. All are presented inwards dissimilar ways including ane recreated amongst Lego models (most ingenious I thought), a wall mural too a shadow puppet show.
